Three New Homes Planned for 60 Gerry Street in Williamsburg

On Gerry Street in South Williamsburg, a short walk from Flushing Avenue and Broadway, plans call for a new six-story building with three homes. It sits between the J and M on Broadway and the G at Flushing Avenue, close to the Bed-Stuy border.

Where Things Stand

A new building permit for 60 Gerry Street showed up in city filings at the end of October 2026. No offering plan has been filed with the Attorney General, so nothing is for sale and there's no pricing. The owner's plans for the homes aren't public, so these could be condos or rentals, and nothing is confirmed until an offering plan is filed. Join my early access list below and you'll hear if an offering plan is filed.

What We Know So Far

  • Three homes in a new six-story building

  • About 22,400 square feet of total floor area on the filing, which looks to include non-residential space, so the homes themselves will be much smaller than simple math suggests

  • Unit mix, ownership type and amenities aren't public

Buying in a New Development?

New construction works differently than a resale: offering plans, sponsor contracts, closing costs and timelines all have their own rules.

A Closer Look at the Building

Three homes in a six-story building, with a floor area that appears to include other uses, suggests a mixed-use project with large residences above. The filing names a construction company rather than a known developer, so there's no track record to go on yet. Finishes, outdoor space and layouts haven't been released.

Williamsburg Highlights

This part of South Williamsburg is close-knit and residential, a few blocks from Broadway's shops under the elevated tracks, with the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Bed-Stuy's Myrtle Avenue a short ride away.

  • The J and M at Flushing Avenue, about an 8-minute walk

  • The G at Flushing Avenue, about 10 minutes

  • Broadway's shops and restaurants, a short walk

Katie's Take

I track every new development filing in Brooklyn, and this one stands out because most Williamsburg projects in my tracker are three- to seven-home buildings closer to the waterfront, and new construction this close to Flushing Avenue is rarer. With no developer track record and no offering plan, it's too early to say whether these will be for sale. The next milestone is construction starting and, if they are condos, an offering plan filing.
