A New Condo Plan Is Submitted for 280 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg

On the Williamsburg waterfront, between South 1st and South 2nd Streets along Kent Avenue, Two Trees is building a pair of towers at 280 Kent Avenue, part of the Domino Sugar redevelopment. The site sits right on the Domino Park esplanade, with the L at Bedford Avenue and the J, M and Z at Marcy Avenue a short walk away.

Where Things Stand

The sponsor has submitted a new condo offering plan to the New York Attorney General under file number CD260232. It follows an earlier condo plan for the building, NA250117, which was filed on July 2, 2025 and accepted on November 12, 2025. The new plan is still in Submitted status, which means the Attorney General has not accepted it yet, so nothing is for sale and there's no pricing. Join my early access list below and you'll hear when the new plan is accepted.

What We Know So Far

  • Two towers rising about 591 feet, per the city building filing

  • The city filing covers 1,350 homes across the whole project, which also includes rentals, so the number of condos isn't public yet

  • The filing works out to roughly 450 square feet of floor area per home across the project, which points to mostly studios and one-bedrooms

  • Construction is underway, with the north tower past its 15th floor as of July 2026

Buying in a New Development?

New construction works differently than a resale: offering plans, sponsor contracts, closing costs and timelines all have their own rules.

A Closer Look at the Building

280 Kent Avenue is Building B in the Domino master plan, two matching towers rising from a shared podium on the block closest to the park. A second condo plan usually means the sponsor needed to change the terms of the first one, so the details in CD260232 are the ones to watch once it is accepted. Amenities, finishes and the condo unit mix haven't been released.

Williamsburg Highlights

This stretch of the waterfront is anchored by Domino Park, with its esplanade, lawns and views of the Williamsburg Bridge and Manhattan, and it's a few blocks from the restaurants and shops around Bedford Avenue and the South Side.

  • The L at Bedford Avenue, a short walk

  • The J, M and Z at Marcy Avenue, a short walk

  • Domino Park and the waterfront esplanade right outside

Katie's Take

I track every new development filing in Brooklyn, and this one stands out because of its scale: most Williamsburg projects in my tracker are a handful of homes, and this is a two-tower building right on Domino Park. The original plan was accepted last November, so a new submission tells me the sponsor is reworking the condo offering before sales. The next milestone is the Attorney General accepting CD260232, which is when pricing and the unit mix should become public.
